If you’re a survivor of human trafficking, you may have adverse items of information on your driving record as a result of the trafficking. We can help you through the process of blocking that information on your driving record ordered through Drivers History.
If you see adverse items of information on your Drivers History report that resulted from trafficking, you can take these steps to block them.
To request adverse information be blocked from your Drivers History report, you need to mail a letter with supporting documentation to TransUnion Drivers History.
In this letter, identify the adverse items of information that are on your report as a result of the trafficking. You can write the letter yourself, or you can use this sample letter from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
With your letter, you’ll also need to include proof of identity and a trafficking victim determination. A trafficking victim determination is documentation that you are a victim of trafficking issued or signed by a federal, state, local or tribal governmental entity.
Please only submit photocopies of documents that prove your identity. Examples of acceptable documents include:
Proof of Identity Documents (Provide 1) | Trafficking Victim Determination Documents (Provide 1) |

If you can't provide proof of identity from one of the documents above, you can call us at 833-979-4361 to verify your identity over the phone |

Your request will be processed within four(4) business days of receipt of the information. We’ll then mail you a statement confirming we’ve completed our review. We’ll include an explanation of our final determination, or let you know if we need additional documentation to process your request. If information is blocked, we’ll send you a free Drivers History report showing the revisions.
